Funding Options & Financial Support
We understand that navigating funding for therapy can be overwhelming. VanKids Pediatric Therapy is proud to be an approved provider for several funding programs in British Columbia.
Autism Funding (AFU)
Our therapists are registered with the Registry of Autism Service Providers (RASP). Families of children and youth under age 19 who have an autism diagnosis can use their Autism Funding to pay for occupational therapy services.
At Home Program (AHP)
We are approved providers for the At Home Program through the Ministry of Children and Family Development (MCFD). This program assists families with the costs of medical supplies, equipment, and therapy services for children with severe disabilities.
Extended Health Benefits
Many extended health insurance plans cover occupational therapy services. Please check with your individual provider to determine your child's coverage limits and requirements. We provide detailed receipts for you to submit for reimbursement.
Charity Fund
Charity funding agencies can help support access to occupational therapy services for families who qualify. CKNW Kids’ Fund and Variety – The Children’s Charity are two common sources of support for children with developmental, physical, and communication needs in British Columbia. For families applying for charity funding, we can provide a letter of support after your child’s assessment outlining their needs and recommended therapy services to include with your application.
Children & Youth with Support Needs (CYSN)
CYSN services support families of children with developmental delays or disabilities. If you have an agreement through CYSN, you may be able to use funding for our occupational therapy services.
Private Pay
We accept private, out-of-pocket payments for families who do not qualify for external funding or have exhausted their benefits. We strive to provide transparent fee schedules prior to beginning services.
