All Occupational Therapists at VanKids hold a Master's or Bachelor's degree in their respective fields. Our therapists are approved or supervised by the Registry of Autism Service Providers (RASP) and are fully licensed and registered with the College of Health and Care Professionals of British Columbia (CHCPBC).
Leonardo Tam
MSc.OT, B.Kin, RASP
Clinical Director / Occupational Therapist
Leo Tam is the founder of VanKids and a driven occupational therapist who holds a Master of Science in Occupational Therapy from the University of Alberta and a Bachelor of Kinesiology from the University of British Columbia.
He has worked across several pediatric clinics in the Lower Mainland and has experience working at a school for children with disabilities, delivering neuro-affirming and client-centred care. Through these experiences, Leo has developed individualized treatment plans and interventions targeting sensory integration, fine motor development, executive functioning, and socio-emotional skills.
He emphasizes collaboration with families, professionals, and support staff to create effective, evidence-based programs that help children reach their developmental goals. In addition, Leo brings experience as a behavioural interventionist, respite provider, and youth sports coach — enriching his holistic approach to child development. Outside of work, Leo enjoys volleyball, youth mentorship, and taking his dog on nature walks.

Ann Leung
Therapy Office Assistant
Ann Leung brings nearly a decade of experience in healthcare and administration, along with a genuine interest in child development. She holds a Bachelor of Communication from Hong Kong Baptist University and a Diploma in Health and Social Sciences, and is dedicated to creating a calm, organized, and welcoming environment for families.
She provides administrative support in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin, helping ensure clear communication throughout each visit.
She is passionate about supporting families and creating a positive clinic experience, and enjoys staying active through badminton, hiking, and travel. She brings a positive, energetic presence to the clinic each day, helping families feel at ease.
